What's in Your HUD with URaCroissant

We sat down with professional online tournament player Cristian, who is also known as URaCroissant on PokerStars.fr, to get his thoughts about poker software.  Cristian multi-tables across a variety of poker sites including PokerStars, PokerStars.fr, Winamax, and 888 Poker with the help of the Holdem Manager 2 HUD.

PokerSoftware:  What poker software do you use while playing online poker and for studying purposes?

URaCroissant:  I am just using Holdem Manager 2 for in-game statistics.  I also use ICMIZER and at times Flopzilla for studying sessions.

PokerSoftware:  How useful is Holdem Manager 2 to your game? Do you always use it while playing?

URaCroissant:  I use it about 90% of the time I am playing.  I feel I can effectively play without the support of the software when I have a maximum of  four tables running simultaneously  However, once I am over four tables, the software is pretty much a must for me to be using.

PokerSoftware:  How is your HUD set up line by line?

URaCroissant:  Here is how my HUD is set up:
Total Hands / Big Blinds/ Total Steal / BB defend to steal
VPIP / PFR /3-bet /Fold to 3-bet
C-bet / Fold to C-bet / Resteal / Squeeze

PokerSoftware:  Which stats in your HUD are the most important to you?

URaCroissant:  Right now, the most important stats to me are steal, defend bb to steal, and fold c-bet.  These are all very useful to me as long as I have a decent number of hands on my opponent.  Otherwise, these do not mean that much and I do not rely on them.

PokerSoftware:  What do you consider to be a decent number of hands before you start relying on these stats?

URaCroissant:  I believe I should have hundreds of hands, if not nearly a thousand hands before I would start relying on stats of this nature to influence my play.

PokerSoftware:  Tell us a little about the study tools you use.  What do they do and how do they work?

URaCroissant:  I am mostly using ICMIZER for studying.  The software helps me mostly review pre-flop spots that I noted while playing.  I am not sure if the software is the optimal tool to use for that, but I'm familiar with it and it's easy for me to use.

ICMIZER works by putting in hands into the software and then works out ranges based on reads.  You can also select a Nash standard if there are no reads.

I am less familiar with Flopzilla, as I do not use it regularly.  I do study with this software mostly when my friend who knows how to use it properly is around to help out.

PokerSoftware:  Have you ever played mobile poker?

URaCroissant:  I have only played mobile poker on Winamax since Day 2s of Sunday's multi-day tournaments are on Mondays and I take that day off sometimes from my regular grind.  So, it is sometimes easier for me to one-table this tournament from a mobile device.

There isn't much use of this software for a serious online poker grinder since you are unable to multi-table very easily.  It's basically a serious pain in the ass for any sort of poker grind.  For a random turbo tournament or one-tabling cash games or sit and gos, sure why not? It's fun.
